Long Story Long is a podcast branding project that started with a simple idea: if the name’s ‘Long Story Long,’ we need a dachshund somewhere in there. After the first creative meeting, that became the foundation for the whole identity.
I sketched out a few ideas in Illustrator, exploring playful ways to tie the long, stretched-out dog motif to the show’s casual storytelling tone. We eventually landed on ‘Little Larry,’ the official mascot—a friendly dachshund who feels like he’s about to tell you a story himself.
It was a lighthearted project with a clear goal: make the brand feel as approachable and funny as the show. Simple, fun, and unmistakably Larry.
