Project
Saga Zero was the lead-up campaign to Metaverse HQ’s official token drop—a space-themed adventure inviting our community to ‘start your saga.’ The idea was to make the launch feel like the beginning of a shared journey, filled with story, style, and discovery.
I designed a central prop for the campaign: a futuristic pager-like device that symbolized each participant’s connection to the mission. I built it in Illustrator, textured and animated it in After Effects, and made it the hero element across all campaign materials.
We ran several brand partnerships along the way. Each community—from Pudgy Penguins to others—had its own mission and collectible NFT, all integrated into our MVHQ social points platform. I handled all the concepting, animation, design, and storytelling, even generating some anime-inspired character art using a custom SDXL model to match the campaign’s tone.
Saga Zero ended up being one of my favorite MVHQ projects—part sci-fi worldbuilding, part marketing experiment. It was all about building momentum and giving people something memorable to hold onto as they joined the next phase of our journey together.
